Who I am

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® at Insurance and Wealth Creation Professionals (IWCP), an Affiliate of the Liberty Group (FSCA2409).

I have a true passion to make a difference in peoples lives, and my mission is to gift people with financial peace of mind!

Qualifications:

9+ Years’ Experience.
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®
BCom Law/Finance with Distinction, University of Witwatersrand.
Post Graduate Diploma Financial Planning, University of the Free State.
Registered Member of the Financial Planning Institute (FPI®).

After completing my BCom Law degree at Wits University I opted to enter the Financial Advisory Industry which my father served for so many years before losing his fight to cancer. I come from a close-knit family where loyalty, respect and common courtesy are important values. Providing my clients’ with long-lasting relationships and financial advice that remains relevant for years to come is my top priority.

Through relationships built on professionalism and trust, my focus is to provide clients with the peace of mind that their financial world is secure – from wealth accumulation to safeguarding that wealth for future generations.

Entering an industry which unfortunately has a well established reputation of brokers who sell products with their own financial interests in mind, I set out from day 1 to make sure that I build a practice which is sustainable, and good for both myself and my clients. This approach meant that I would need to sacrifice lucrative upfront commissions, for a less attractive on-going advice fee model.

It has taken some time to build my practice to where it is today, and I am proud of what I have been able to achieve, always reminding myself of a personal well-loved saying, ‘slow is smooth, and smooth is fast’.

I am in a fortunate position where I don’t need to bring on loads of new clients monthly to maintain my financial position, and this also allows me to provide honest advise that is best suited to my clients.

My value proposition is centered around the Golden Circle of ‘Why, How, What’.

Planning always starts with the WHY.

Once WE can understand your WHY, the ‘how’ and ‘what’ is where I come in to take care of your WHY.

A tremendous amount of time has been invested in my skill set to date, and still, large amounts of time are invested in both maintaining my industry knowledge and tailoring my clients unique plans.

For this reason, I choose to work with clients who are serious about their financial future and are willingly participate in the planning process.

The value a financial advisor is able to add is hugely dependent on the relationship he/she has with their clients.

I am acutely aware of this, and invest time into making sure the relationship is right before continuing with any financial planning journey.

It is of utmost important to me that my clients understand what their financial plans/provisions entail and how each provision works to achieve their WHY.

Difficult discussions will arise… this is inevitable and should not be avoided as it forms part of building the most important aspect of our relationship – Trust.

I have embraced technology in my practice and virtually consult with numerous clients who are comfortable with this way of engagement, and found that it has allowed us to engage more regularly which has made a big impact on my ability to provide relevant advice and build stronger relationships.

I hope to achieve long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with all my clients.

My support team includes an admin assistant, Palesa Kemp.

From a financial planning perspective, I have partnered with specialists/consultants in Tax, Estate Planning, medical aid, and short term insurance.
